We are working with an “Outstanding ” 11-18 co-educational academy who consistently achieves excellent academic results and is dedicated to providing exceptional creative arts provision, with excellent resources across all departments. This academy can boast that they have an exceptional film studies suite (including a cinema), specialist theatre/drama studio and a bespoke Art & Photography block, with black & white and darkrooms.
Your Role
As an enthusiastic and dedicated Photography Technician, this is an excellent opportunity to make a real impact on students’ artistic development and inspire their passion for photography. You will play a key role in supporting practical lessons, maintaining equipment and resources, and ensuring that students have the tools they need to succeed in both the classroom and specialist darkrooms. You will be at the heart of the Photography Department, providing essential support across Key Stages 3–5. Qualities Required
- Experience of working in a darkroom based photographic environment
- Knowledge of a variety of technical skills related to preparation of materials
- The ability to develop strong relationships with all students
- The ability to manage students’ and colleagues’ behaviours in a positive way
- Willingness to contribute to the wider life of the school
