Charville Primary Choir performed as part of the Youth Scratch Messiah at The Royal Albert Hall conducted by Sue Digby OBE on Sunday 29th November. The Youth Scratch Messiah Program, which won the¬†‚ÄòBest Classical Music Education Initiative‚Äô¬†in the 2015 Music Teacher Awards for Excellence required choirs to learn at least 3 choruses from Handel’s Messiah and on the day there were 1500 singers and an orchestra lead by Ms Digby singing and playing their hearts out to a very full audience. The perfomers were thrilled to be there and behaved excellently. The Messiah sounded amazing with that many voices and it was an absolute joy to see the children enjoy an experience they will treasure forever.
