‘Free’ General Awareness Course on Radicalisation
Every week I talk about what is happening in the news or try to offer helpful hints and tips that might help you as a teacher.
This week I have been doing a bit of delving and found an excellent online¬†course, that takes about 30 mins – 1 hour, and is absolutely free. After completing the course, you will be rewarded with a certificate that states you have had ‘Radicalisation’ training from a professional body, and the certificate¬†will also fit nicely in your teaching portfolio and tick another box required.
What is radicalisation?
I am going to try and keep this brief as there is a description of this on the website, but radicalisation is when a person, child or adult, male or female, have had their mind-set changed or persona altered to make them feel or want to join or fight for a terrorist organisation. There are many ways that someone can be radicalised, and there are lots of reasons why a person may feel victim to radicalisation. It is important that radicalisation is caught early, and the website will give you things to look out for, case studies, and how to report someone if you think they have been radicalised. I will leave you with a link to the website and it will explain all!
It is a fantastic site and completely worth doing!!!
