Music takes 13 minutes to ‘release sadness’ and 9 minutes to make you happy

The fascinating new research proves that music heals and suggests that in future, music could be prescribed to help us focus, feel happier, relax and overcome sadness.

What an interesting read, personally thinking back to harder times in my life I can relate to this.  I’d always want to pick up my guitar or sit at the piano.  It’ reminds me of  the lyrics in Electricity from Billy Elliott.
