Our very own Gerry Savage asks Janice, a teacher and ambassador of the ‚ÄòFun Music Company‚Äô, how she manages to have a life and fit everything into an incredibly busy schedule. Here is what Janice replied with a ukulele lesson added also for good will…
Your Monday Free Resource:
How to do it all: My unconventional advice on how to fit it all in.
Dear Gerry,
So how do you do it all?
I just got this question posted in my email “How do you cover everything in the curriculum and have a normal life while making music fun?”
It’s interesting – time is the single same limitation we all have, but why do some seem to fit it all in, making it all look so easy while others feel like they’re getting nowhere fast?
My unconventional advice is learn to say NO! It sounds so cliche, but less is better. So when new jobs, distractions (especially with social media and all the current happenings), roles, responsibilities come up. I’m always asking myself What do I want? And Why do I want it?….and I’m thinking if this is going to be a benefit for all in my life – for the “greater good” of everyone around me. …and if it doesn’t fit, I say NO!! (in the nicest possible way of course)
That’s why I’ve put together this resource this week. It’s a shortcut to give you more time at such a busy and distracting time of the year. With this one resource, you’ll be able to make your music classes fun while getting your elementary children to try something different and thinking positively through the music they play.
The aim of this video is to give you less preparation time, so you can then concentrate on finishing report writing or your upcoming end of year concerts or whatever it is for you. . It has a “jingle Bells” theme and I found some interesting facts about that don’t relate to Christmas at all, you’ll have to watch the video here to find out more:

Kind Regards,
Janice
PS If you want to know more about making an ultimate music lesson plan for elementary children which is not about Christmas, I run a weekly webinar that will really help. Perhaps it’s time to say NO to some other social commitments or wasting time on social media for an hour or so, and come and join me. You’ll also get a PD certificate just for attending making it very worthwhile and it’s FREE. See below for details.
